My life as a photographer has kind of snuck up on me. Yes, I have always been that girl – the one who loves to have a camera nearly everywhere I go, but after six years of school for a Bachelor’s in Science and then a Master's and Educational Specialist Degrees in Physical Education, it seemed only logical that I would enter the working world with a whistle rather than a Canon. When my first son Xander was born, my passion shifted completely and I found myself returning to my love for photography.

Before I knew it, I was using my camera to capture moments in the lives of not only my own little person, but in those of several other families around me and so was the start of Beverly Riggan Photography.

 

I now have two little guys I stay at home with and we have moved again with my husbands job. We are incredibly blessed and look forward to our journey here in the Sooner State.

Unscripted. Fun. Real. These are the words that I want to describe my photographs. I love a beautifully posed portrait as much as the next person (and there’s certainly a time and place for those types of pictures), but what really makes my heart leap is the unscripted emotion that’s wrapped up in each family I shoot. Regardless of how it expresses itself – whether through uninhibited laughter or tender kisses – my goal is to capture those moments in time so that you can relive them over and over again through your photographs
